I’m Shaira Tuazon. I’m an avid problem solver, constant tinkerer, and advocate for user-centered design.
Currently, I’m a Product Designer at Facebook (Meta), where I work on Profiles and Identity within Communities. Previously, I was at Intuit working on TurboTax where I led design for growth initiatives related to self-employment, small business and investors, and later designed foundational capabilities such as the mobile app. Prior to FinTech, I also designed in the Healthcare and Education industries.
While I primarily focus on Product Design these days, I have some interest in other crafts such as animation, prototyping, writing and code.
I have a non-traditional background having received a degree in Communications and Psychology. I found design to be a happy medium between some of my greatest passions — tech, art and helping others. I like to think of UX design as a way to help and empower others to accomplish their goals.

Creative planning and journaling — It’s like scrapbooking but for an agenda. See more on my Instagram.
Trying out various arts and crafts — Hand lettering is my main jam. I’ve also recently learned more about Resin Art.
Playing video games — Been playing games on our new PS5 and my gaming laptop. Lately, it’s been Minecraft and It Takes Two.
Building mechanical keyboards — I’m a fan of tactile switches, but have silent ones for office use 🙂 My latest build is a GMMK Pro.
Exploring cultures through food — I’m a big foodie and love trying new restaurants and recipes.
Travel the world (and the states) — latest country I got to visit pre-pandemic was Japan. Spain is next on my list!
